Ian Colin Orr-Ewing
Executive Chairman
Mr Orr-Ewing began his career as an investment manager for the Shell Pension Fund in London after qualifying as a Certified Accountant. He has a wealth of over 35 years experience spanning both the oil and mining industries and has been a director of UK and Canadian oil companies and Irish and Canadian mining companies. Mr Orr-Ewing also currently acts as an adviser to a fund management company on its natural resources portfolios. He was actively involved in the oil industry from 1971 through to 1987 working with numerous companies in the North Sea, Libya, Nigeria and Algeria. Mr. Orr-Ewing is a geography graduate of Oxford University.
David Karl Paxton
Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Mr Paxton is a professional engineer with over 35 years experience in the mining industry, starting with mine production at Goldfields of South Africa, and then 24 years as a mining analyst at their head office. As a mining analyst he has worked for a number of Canadian and UK stockbrokers, most recently Religare Hichens, Harrison Plc. He is a director of India Minerals Plc, Adit Investments Ltd, Sahara Mines Ltd, Ortac Resources Plc, Far North Platinum Ltd and Mining and Dining Club Ltd.
Kiran Caldas Morzaria
Finance Director
Mr Morzaria holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Industrial Geology) from the Camborne School of Mines and an MBA (Finance) from CASS Business School. He has eight years of experience in the mineral resource industry covering gold and diamonds. Mr Morzaria spent his first four years in exploration, mining and civil engineering and in 2004 was appointed Finance Director of Vatukoula Gold Mines Plc. In this role, Mr Morzaria has been active in corporate acquisitions, joint venture agreements, valuations, qualified persons reports and due diligence. Mr. Morzaria is also currently a non-executive director of Solo Oil Plc and Hot Tuna (International) Plc.
John Ian Stalker
Non-executive Director
Mr. Stalker was the Chief Executive Officer of UraMin Inc, a London and Toronto listed Uranium exploration and development company until late 2007 when the company was acquired by Areva. Prior to joining UraMin, Mr. Stalker was at Gold Fields Ltd., the world's fourth largest gold producer. Prior to Gold Fields, he worked at Lycopodium, an engineering, mining, and metallurgical consultancy company. Which followed spells at Ashanti Goldfields Company Limited, Caledonia Mining Corporation, AGC Ltd. and Zambia Consolidated Copper Mines Ltd. He holds a BSc. in Chemical Engineering.
John Francis Kearney

Mr Kearney is the Chairman and President of Canadian Zinc Corporation with over thirty years experience in the mining industry worldwide. With degrees in law, economics and business administration, he has a strong background in corporate development, finance and managing public companies, primarily in the mining field.
John Arthur MacPherson
Non-executive Director
Mr MacPherson is a Director of and founding chairman of Canadian Zinc Corporation. He has been active in public markets, corporate finance and corporate development for over 30 years. During this time he has led the strategic development of several successful ventures, primarily in the fields of mining and oil and gas. Throughout his career he has served as director of many private and public corporations listed on the Toronto, AMEX and London Stock Exchanges.
Herbert Hirst Leathley
General Manager of the Vatukoula Gold mine
Mr Leathley brings over 40 years of mine engineering and mine management experience to the Vatukoula Gold Mine. Most recently Mr Leathley worked for UraMin Namibia Pty. Ltd. as Managing Director and General Manager; prior to this he spent a year as General Manager of Anvel Gold. Mr Leathley was Chief Engineer of Commonwealth & British Minerals Plc (Gold Production) for 4 years and notably worked for Ashanti Goldfields Company Ltd for 12 years in West Africa as the Plant Superintendent Bioxidation Plant.
